The Nevada fifth-grader says the lesson came in handy when a fight broke out on the bus ride home last week.Then she got into trouble.
When Audrey took out a small video camera her parents bought for her 10th birthday this year, a school official confiscated it and told her videotaping on the bus is illegal even though many of the district's buses are equipped with cameras.
The incident shows how administrators must walk a fine line between the tech-savvy children they encourage to report bullies, and skeptical parents who want to hold schools liable for discipline problems.
