Draud interviews for ed. chief job

This from the Cincinnati Enquirer.

COVINGTON - ...Draud, of Edgewood, is one of four candidates being interviewed today and tomorrow at the Embassy Suites Hotel Cincinnati RiverCenter in Covington.Draud has worked in education for 36 years as a superintendent, principal, teacher and coach in Covington, Ludlow and Lockland, Ohio.

He said this morning that the interview is scheduled to last two hours.“They asked us to prepare a couple things,” Draud said. “One of them is a document on what we’d do to move toward proficiency.”

...Draud said one thing he’d do is encourage regions throughout the state to host a summit similar to the “Champions for Education” summit being held tomorrow at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. The summit will bring together educators, community members and business leaders in an effort to improve education in the region.

“It’s going to energize the people about education,” Draud said. “That’s what we need.”
