State colleges seek higher test scores

Better ACT marks to be required for guaranteed admission to credit courses
Incoming freshmen at Kentucky's public colleges and universities would need higher scores on college-entrance exams to be guaranteed admission to credit-bearing courses under a proposal to be considered today by the Council on Postsecondary Education.
The change, if approved, would take effect in fall 2009.
