Fayette County to break ground on two new schools

Fayette County Public Schools will host groundbreaking ceremonies for two of three new elementary schools on Tuesday, May 8.

Groundbreaking for Liberty Elementary School, which will replace Julia R. Ewan Elementary, will begin at 10 a.m. on 2585 Liberty Road across the road from Eastland Church of God. Parking will be available in the church parking lot.

Groundbreaking for Sandersville Elementary School, which will replace Linlee Elementary, will begin at 3:30 p.m. on 3025 Sandersville Road off of Spurr Road.

Both schools will open doors to students in the fall of 2008.
