Four new sites bring total to 95
They help students with everything from clothing and tutoring to counseling, parenting classes and health care.
Educators say Family Resource and Youth Services centers -- created statewide as a part of Kentucky's 1990 education reform -- provide crucial help for students struggling with problems beyond school walls that impair their learning.
Now, Jefferson County Public Schools is adding four centers that will bring the total to 95 serving 131 schools. The new sites will be at Tully Elementary, Butler and Eastern high schools and the Jaeger preschool program.
