School's out, but nearly a thousand fifth-graders are looking for a chance to go back this summer.
Contestants were lined up by 6 a.m. yesterday to audition for the Fox game show Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?
Travis Littrell, 10, of Lexington fielded questions Saturday during his audition. When asked where he wanted to go to college, Travis answered, "Both M.I.T. and Yale have good engineering programs and I heard that Harvard has good lawyering."
Cody Robinson, 10, who just finished fourth grade at Arlington Elementary, had done his homework. He stayed up late memorizing his presidents but was still having trouble naming them all while he waited in line.
He couldn't shake the jitters.
