A Lone Oak High School student has been arrested and charged Wednesday in connection with a bomb threat at the school on Sept. 17, McCracken County sheriff’s Detective Robert Caskey said.
Andrew McManus, 19, was charged with terroristic threatening related to the words “Bomb in L.O.” written on a bathroom wall in the school. McManus told a school officer that he noticed those words on the wall. The school was evacuated for three hours during a search for a bomb.
However, McManus said during a follow-up interview with Caskey on Wednesday that he made the bomb threat, the detective said. McManus is being held in the McCracken County Regional Jail while waiting for a bond hearing....
