Teacher training, tutoring targeted
FRANKFORT, Ky. -- More than two dozen public school districts in the state will get a chunk of a $13.2 million grant awarded to Kentucky to boost the number of high school students who take advanced placement courses and do well on the tests.
The National Math and Science Initiative money will be used to train teachers to teach AP courses and provide financial incentives to teachers to do so.
