Road Trip
Great weekend with family, but lots of this:

The beautiful picture of the rain-swollen Ohio River serves as a metaphor.
Like a river swollen by rain, our classrooms are swollen with ever more guidelines for testing and asessment.
Unlike the river, which will one day assume its natural shape, our classrooms seem perpetually bloated by learning checks, assessments, NCLB tests and the like.
What has happened to the profession that I once loved?
