How much would you pay for a report that was hastily thrown together, highly biased, and practically devoid of documentation?
Would you pay more if it was turned around quickly and said what you wanted it to say, no matter how poorly?
If it gets the job done, who cares?
Sources close to school district leadership have told KSN&C that the Hanna Report, which recommended outsourcing all of Fayette County's legal services, came in over budget despite Hanna's sales pitch promising they had "a proven track record managing and completing projects on time, [and] on budget... "
Board members were reportedly promised a high-quality study from Hanna for something around $9,000, and members were assured that the final cost would not exceed $10,000.
But district spokeswoman Lisa Deffendall confirmed to KSN&C that Hanna charged the district $11,575 for the two-week "study."

$11,575 for two weeks of some type of work? I'm in the wrong business!
Wonder how much the district paid Landrum & Shouse to represent it during the Petrilli trial?
That number may be a little tough to come up with. FCPS carries insurance with a $30,000 deductable. I guess the district could claim that the case only cost $30k as a result, but of course, it's not quite that simple. There is the annual cost of the insurance itself that should be factored in. Beyond that, it would be interesting to know how much the outsourced Landrum & Shouse billed the insurance company.
