As Toni Konz reported on C-J's Learning Curve blog, six Jefferson County schools were recently awarded a $979,000, three-year grant by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools.
The grant will expand counseling services and support the CARE for Kids program.
The grant was written by a team of educators, including: Ann Ferriell, Pam Carter, Diane Cruze, Sheila Koshewa, Joe Bargionne, Marsh Lemon, Pat Vissman and Florence Chang.
