Thanks to all who participated in the 2014 Student Success Summit, "Every Student Counts" in Louisville. The event underscored the importance of recognizing issues related to academic success for all of Kentucky’s students, especially for underrepresented minorities, low-income students, and underprepared students.

About the Summit

The Kentucky Student Success Summit provides faculty, staff and administrators an opportunity to learn from leading student success experts and to engage in stimulating discussions with colleagues from across the state. The summit features nationally-recognized experts who share evidence-based best practices to promote student learning and retention.

I always enjoy hitting up the district for a few free nights and meals at the Galt House to hear the experts tell me how to make my world ideal like theirs . . . well at least as ideal as in their program or book they are trying to hock at the back of the conference room.
