A teenager's determination to honor veterans means that some 3,400 graves of Civil War soldiers will each bear a carnation on Memorial Day.Marina Hillis, a 13-year-old East Jessamine Middle School student, has raised $1,500 over the last month so she could purchase flowers for the graves of forgotten and unknown soldiers.
