Max Gilpin was in distress at practice, father says

This from the Courier-Journal:
Max Gilpin had heat stroke, died
Five to eight minutes after Pleasure Ridge Park High School senior Antonio Calloway collapsed while running drills during an Aug. 20 football practice, someone pointed out to Jeff Gilpin that his 15-year-old son, Max, appeared to be cramping as the team continued to run, according to court documents filed this week.

In written answers to questions from lawyers for former PRP football coach David Jason Stinson, Jeff Gilpin said his son was in distress but kept running, trying to finish drills Stinson was using to punish the team, telling them "we are going to run until someone quits."

Max, a sophomore lineman on the varsity team, collapsed of heat stroke at the practice and died three days later at Kosair Children's Hospital, after his body temperature had reached 107 degrees.

Gilpin said Max never moved and was not conscious when the ambulance arrived at the practice field....
