Murray, KY (WKYX) – Kentucky’s Commissioner of Education, Dr. Jon Draud will be the featured guest speaker at Murray State University’s Annual 2008 Sparks Lecture on June 9 at 4 pm in Alexander Hall.
Draud will be presenting a lecture titled “Focus on Teachers as Leaders in the Classroom, School and District.” Draud became Kentucky’s fourth education commissioner in December of 2007. Prior to this he was a state legislator, representing the 63rd District from 1998-2007, and was vice-chair of the House Education Committee since 1999.
