I know it sounds strange but generalizing each state one might also consider economies or progress entrepreneurial states. If your state economy provides greater opportunity does that draw more folks away from teaching? Expense of higher education and expectation for BA +MA makes becoming a teacher financially impractical. Heck even the nobility of the profession has been robbed by the media, politicians, reformers and private sector vendors. <br /><br />Why would anyone want to be a teacher any more when the personal costs so far outweigh the benefits?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
