What is so ridiculous is that these folks could have say so anytime they wanted in their schools through attendance at school board meetings and SBDM meetings but I am betting that not a one of them ever showed up at any of those monthly meetings over the last decade to address how kids were being taught in the schools where their churches are located.

Equally why do they seem to think that they should have access to the process? Why not local business folks, medical professionals, etc. What next, Rev. Al Sharpton visits Louisville if they don't get their demands met?

Weird how Education Secretary can visit Louisville this week and not say a word about education genocide but instead give them some recognition for positive things they are doing.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5776587.post-87976933080092109682013-06-21T12:40:17.164-04:002013-06-21T12:40:17.164-04:00With all do respect to the ministers, where have y...With all do respect to the ministers, where have you guys been the last few years in terms of JCPS schools or the communities from which the students are coming? Stepping forward and "demanding" just comes off as being situational grandstanding.

Thanks commissioner for "riling" folks up, you are really making things better for kids and the adults who have been trying to serve them well before you probably even knew where Louisville was on a map. What next, going to Appalachia and telling families that their schools are causing unemployment and black lung?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
