Paris Elementary School Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Exposing

This from WLEX TV:
Elementary school teacher Barton Short was arrested today after exposing himself to a teen-aged waitress at a Bourbon County Sonic fast food restaurant. This was Short's first year as a teacher at Paris Elementary School, but sources tell WLEX that it's not the first time someone complained about his behavior.

Short was positively identified and arrested by police for indecent exposure and he has been barred from campus, pending investigation, by school officials.

Police say they have received multiple calls from the same location and they are contacting other potential victims through their phone records.

This is horrible especially in the case of a teacher doing something like this because it also harms each education professional who works so hard for children and to do things appropriately, even when it comes at personal sacrifice.

One point though, why doesn't the news ever report the occupation and employer of every other person involved in a crime? It would make one sense that educators, preachers, policemen and legislators commit most of the crimes. I have rarely heard of a plumber, account clerk, mechanic or most any other profession, much less their employer, ever committing a crime.

I'm not sure. Maybe we care less if it's a plumber. Maybe not. But since this guy was working with vulnerable children it raises the ante.

I seem to recall priests, too.
